BLUE SPRINGS, Mo.—Southern Nazarene Women's Golf opened up their 2023 fall schedule with a trip to Missouri where they competed in the Central Region Fall Preview at the Adams Point Golf Club in Blue Springs, hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State.
The Crimson Storm finished 10th out of 17 teams as they followed a 314 team score in round one with a 320 in round two. Augustana won the tournament shooting 601 as a team, which bested Northeastern State by seven strokes.
SNU was led by Sara Armstrong, who put together a phenomenal performance. She was even par and led the tournament through 27 holes. She fell off a bit over the final nine holes, but still finished T-7 with a two round score of 150 (+6).
Hallie Schultz, Hannah Torres, Haley Whittern, and Natalie Lewis were all jumbled in the middle of the pack. Schultz finished T-52 after improving by 10 strokes from round one (87) to round two (77) for a two round total of 164. Torres, Whittern, and Lewis were all just one stroke behind at 165 and finished T-55. Torres followed up her round one 78 with an 87 in round two.
