CANYON, Texas—The Southern Nazarene University Equestrian team headed south to Canyon, Texas for Two Hunt Shows over the weekend and raked in the awards with three first place finishes on Saturday.
Five Storm riders took part in the Two Hunt Shows hosted by West Texas A&M. Charity Logemann competed in both the flats and over the fences each day. She earned top-five finishes in all four groups, including taking first in the Saturday flats.
Reagan Cleveland also earned a win on Saturday and followed that up with a fourth place showing on Sunday. Emily Nordhues was the other Storm rider to earn first place on Saturday, and also took fourth on Sunday.
Reagan Van Soest and Jasmine Massey were the other SNU competitors. They each also placed at the show as Van Soest earned fifth place on both days, while Massey turned a reserve showing on Saturday into a sixth place finish on Sunday.
SNU now turns their attention to the IHSA Region Championship. Two Region Championships will be held with the first taking place February 25-26 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The second IHSA Region Championship will be held March 4-5 in Lubbock, Texas.
