Storm Falls to Tigers

SNU battles but falls to the OBU, 2-0

BETHANY, Okla. - The Crimson Storm returned home to host Ouachita Baptist in an afternoon conference matchup. The Storm and the  Tigers, both located at the top of the GAC rankings, fought hard for the entire match, but Ouachita pulled away with the victory, 2-0.

The Storm (7-2-2, 3-1-1 GAC) offense struggled to kick start while the Tigers (6-1-4, 3-1-1 GAC) offense kept the pressure on. The Storm faced an uphill battle trying to play catch-up after two early OBU goals. The Tigers' offense did not let up and continued to make things difficult for the Storm.

The Storm's defense was tested in the first half of the match. The Tigers put up eight shots and controlled most of the first half offensively. The Storm defense did not make it easy for the Tigers. OBU did not score their first goal until the 38th minute of the match. OBU utilized the final minute of the match to punch in their second goal of the match, leading 2-0 at halftime.

SNU cranked up the defense to begin the second half. The Storm held off the Tigers for the remainder of the match. OBU continued to put pressure on the SNU defense, but the Storm was unphased. The Storm offense struggled to get a spark on offense leaving them unable to catch up to the Tiger's lead.

The Storm offense was led by Segen Henley who tallied two shots on the match. The Storm defense was highlighted by JQ Molgaard, Millie Butler, Avery Pyle, and Addison Johnson. Gianna Bonnett collected two saves in the match.
