SNU Defeats Tigers in Shutout Fashion

The Storm offense explodes in victory over the Tigers

BETHANY, Okla. - The Storm returned home to take on the visiting Ouachita Baptist Tigers. The Storm offense continued their scoring rampage and defeated the Tigers, 4-0.

The Storm (7-2-2, 5-0 GAC) has started conference play flawlessly and continued their streak of clean play against the Tigers (0-7-3,0-2-2 GAC). The Storm offense controlled the match shooting an incredible 32 shots. The Tigers struggled to gather themselves offensively for most of the match.

The Storm came out with aggressive shooting to begin the first half. SNU got on the board early, scoring in the first five minutes of the match. Unaiz Shajani stayed hot scoring the first goal for the Storm on an Esteban Ramirez assist.

Francisco Chong got an open shot at a goal, thanks to a second Ramirez assist stretching the lead, to 2-0. The Storm maximized the last 10 minutes with a goal from Cesar Solis on another Ramirez assist adding to the lead, 3-0. Ramirez assisted all three goals in the first half for the Storm.

The Storm continued to press the Tigers offensively, but OBU made things difficult. The Tiger defense kicked it into high gear and made things tricky for the heavy-shooting SNU. Bruno Ferreira scored, expanding the Storm lead, to 4-0. This would be all it took for the Storm to seal the deal.

The Storm offense was highlighted by a stellar performance from Ramirez with three assists, and Unaiz Shajani with two goals.
