Storm Offense Overpowers the Tigers

SNU captured a victory on the road at Ouachita Baptist, 4-1

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Storm hit the road to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to face off with the Ouachita Baptist Tigers. A strong offensive performance allowed SNU to glide by the Tigers, 4-1.

The Crimson Storm (10-3-2, 8-1 GAC) offense took care of business early against the Tigers (0-13-2, 0-8-2 GAC). SNU struck first in the 10th minute of the match on a goal from Bruno Ferreira thanks to a Rinta Takagi assist. The Storm lead was stretched on another Ferreira goal, this time on a Nikola Braletic assist.

The OBU defense tried to shut down the heavy-shooting SNU but struggled to do so. Alvaro Sanchez took advantage of a penalty and sunk one through the back of the net, giving the Crimson Storm a 3-0 lead.

The Ouachita offense answered back, scoring in the final minutes of the first half. SNU remained in front, 3-1, heading into halftime. The Crimson Storm offense led the stat sheet tallying a massive 15 shots compared to OBU's two shots in the first half.

The SNU offense wasted no time continuing to put pressure on the Tigers. Unaiz Shajani scored a quick goal on a Cesar Solis assist, extending the Storm lead to 4-1. Ouachita silenced the Southern Nazarene offense for the remainder of the match.

The Storm finished the match with an incredible 25 shots while the Tigers only collected five.
