Adam Bohac secures his 300th win at SNU as Storm dominate Arkansas-Monticello, 73-37

BETHANY, Okla.—Southern Nazarene University secured a dominant 73-37 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night inside the Sawyer Center. The win marked head coach Adam Bohac's 300th win of his career at SNU.

The Crimson Storm (15-3, 11-1 GAC) controlled every aspect of the game. After taking a 9-6 lead early, Southern Nazarene never looked back. They led Monticello (5-13, 1-11 GAC) the remainder of the game and built a huge lead by closing the first half with a 14-0 run that led to a 35-15 advantage at halftime.

The lead continued to grow in the second half as the Storm doubled the Weevils' score for the majority of the half. The lead got as high as 38 points before the Storm cleared their bench in the final minutes of the game.

SNU's defense was a key factor in their victory. They limited UAM to just 33.3% shooting and forced 14 turnovers, which they converted into 23 points. This is the second time this month that SNU has held a team below 40 points, and they currently rank second in Division II with an average of 58.2 points allowed per game.

Leading the way offensively for SNU was freshman Javon Jackson, who scored a game-high 21 points and dished out 4 assists.

Tyler McGhie and Nick Davis each scored 14 points. McGhie also added 7 rebounds and Davis blocked 2 shots.

Mo Wilson II provided a big spark off the bench, contributing 6 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

SNU will now turn their attention to Southern Arkansas for a crucial matchup as they battle for the top spot in the Great American Conference. The teams split their matchups last season, with the road team winning both games. Tip off at 3:00 p.m. this Saturday at the Sawyer Center, following the women's game.
