LUBBOCK, Texas—It was another successful regional championship weekend for SNU Equestrian as the team garnered top-5 finishes in all 12 events over the two-day Region Championship Show in Lubbock, Texas.
Charity Logemann continues to get it done for the Storm Riders. Following her reserve championship in last weekend's IHSA Region Championship, Logemann garnered yet another title as she was named the Over the Fences Limit Champion, as well as earning another reserve champion on the flat limit. Her efforts would earn her a spot in the semi-finals. She also took 2nd in the intermediate flat and 4th in the intermediate of the fences categories on Saturday.
Senior, Tessa Bethea also showed out on Saturday with her own 2nd and 4th place finishes in the limit fences and the limit flats.
Raegan Cleveland also competed in the limits on Saturday, earning 3rd place on the flats, while snagging a 5th place finish over the fences.
Emily Nordhues and Jasmine Massey rounded out the Saturday showing as they took 3rd and 4th on limit flats, respectively.
Raegan Cleveland and Emily Nordhues competed in the Novice level on Sunday, earning 4th and 5th place finishes, respectively.
Following the final team showing of the year, SNU Equestrian coach Debby Letham said, ""The entire SNU Equestrian Team really went above and beyond in their efforts this year at practice and in competitions. I really appreciate all of their efforts throughout the year."
The season is not finished for one Storm rider, though, as with her extraordinary effort the past couple of weekends, Charity Logemann will move on to the semi-finals in both the Western Division and Hunt Seat in two classes. "Charity was a rock star. It was truly amazing to see her compete and qualify in both classes for her efforts," said Coach Letham.
Logemann will return to Lubbock in just a couple of weeks for the Western semifinals March 18-20. She then prepares for the Hunt Seat semifinals April 9-10, again in Lubbock, Texas.
