GARLAND, Texas—The Southern Nazarene Cheer team traveled to Garland, Texas for their first ever competition. Despite never competing as a team before, the Crimson Storm Cheer team made some noise by earning first place at the competition.
The Storm competed at the FCC (Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders) competition, where they were a part of the College Co-Ed Game Day division. SNU showed out by scoring a 76 out of 100 to take home first place in that division!
Coach Ashly Armstrong said this about her team's performance:
"Our coaching staff is incredibly proud of how this team competed this weekend! They've practiced hard, and it paid off. What a cool experience and true honor to be a part of making history, by helping coach SNU's first cheer team to ever compete!"
