EDMOND, Okla. – The Southern Nazarene women's golf team closed out their host tournament on Tuesday afternoon at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite at Kickingbird Golf Course.

In a wind advisory all day, the conditions were brutal as the Crimson Storm held their position on the leaderboard as they finished 10
th with a 332 in the final round. SNU had two golfers finish inside the top-10 for the first time this Spring as senior
Bailey Akins carded a final round 77 to finsh tied for 8
th. Sophomore
Emilie Jackson's final round 79 was good enough to place her 10
th on the leaderboard at day's end. Akins led the field with 24 pars over the two rounds while Jackson's 2-under par scoring on the par-5's was second in the field.

Sara Armstrong posted an 88 in her closing round while
Loren Ogburn improved her day one score by six shots as her final round 88 place her 74
th on the board. Rounding out the Storm lineup was
Rebecca Davis who finished with a 95.
Ashlee McDaniel competed as an individual and closed out her tournament with a 112.
Central Oklahoma took home the team title as the Bronchos edged Rogers State by three shots. UCO's Emma Shelley secured the individual title as she carded an impressive final round 70 to win by three strokes.

Southern Nazarene will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso for the Hillcat Classic hosted by Rogers State.
