Day One Results
EDMOND, Okla. – The Southern Nazarene women's golf team was back in action Monday as they hosted the 2021 Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite at Kickingbird Golf Course. Windy conditons plagued the entire leaderboard on day one, as the Crimson Storm found themselves 10
th after posting an opening round 328 team score.

Senior
Bailey Akins and sophomore
Emilie Jackson led the charge for SNU after the duo each fired an opening-round 74 in their first rounds. The pair sits tied for 3
rd at day's end and will enter tomorrow's final round just one shot back of the leaders. Jackson's opening round featured a tournament-best four birdies as she played the par-5's at Kickingbird at 2-under while Akins was 1-under on those stretch of holes. Akins led the field with 13 pars on day one.

Sara Armstrong posted an 87 in the opening round while
Rebecca Davis carded a 93.
Loren Ogburn rounded out the Storm starting five with a 94 for head coach
Derrick Taylor.
Ashlee McDaniel got her first taste of collegiate golf as she competed as an individual and she came in with an opening round 113.

The Crimson Storm sit seven shots behind 9
th place Sioux Falls on the leaderboard and 10 behind Oklahoma City University. Central Oklahoma leads the way on the team leaderboard after the Bronchos carded a 303 in the first round. They lead Rogers State by three shots entering tomorrow's final round. The Hillcats' Jessica Green and SWOSU's Megan Brown are tied at the top of the individual leaderboard after the pair fired opening round 73's, Akins and Jackson lurk one shot behind and look to make some noise in Tuesday's final round.

Southern Nazarene will close out the final round of the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite tomorrow morning as their tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. on the number one tee box.
