LUBBOCK, Texas – The Southern Nazarene equestrian team was back in action this past weekend at the Two Hunt Seat Shows hosted by Texas Tech University.
The Crimson Storm had an excellent outing in Lubbock, arguably their best one of the Spring so far as they had a couple of first place ribbons including nine total top-five finishes.
Tessa Bethea shined in the Hunt Seat show as she brought home top honors in Fences on Saturday and Flat on Sunday. She also recorded a couple of second place finishes in those categories as well.
Emily Nordhues recorded a couple of fifth place finishes in the novice category while
Raegan Cleveland took home fifth place in crossrails and novice in her two events.
Emily Hendrick rounded out the Storm lineup with a fifth and sixth place ribbon in Fences, to go along with a couple of six place finishes in the Flat category on Sunday.
Southern Nazarene will have some time off to prepare for the IHSA National Championship which takes place May 7-10 at a site to be determined later.
