BETHANY, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer team welcomed the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State into Bethany for an in-conference matchup on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs owned the night as they were able to overpower SNU and come away with a 4-0 win.
Southwestern Oklahoma (3-2, 2-1 GAC) was trigger happy as they fired a total of 32 shots in the match.Goalkeeper
Maci Attalla was kept busy all night as 16 of those shots were on target. SNU (0-3, 0-3 GAC) had no answer for the SWOSU's offense as the Bulldogs managed to slice and dice through their defense at their own will.
SWOSU managed to build a 2-0 lead by the break and wouldn't let up as the club manged to score two more goals and hold the Storm to zero scores.
Erin Greenslade led way for SNU she fired the most shots, registering two. Four other Storm players tallied one attempt tonight as
Alejandra Andrade, Zaira Zamarripa,
Linda Nigg, and
Karsyn Matthews all had their chances. Of those, Nigg and Zamarripa were the only to land their try on target.
Danielle Reyes-Mota and
Keeley Bennett also managed a shot on the evening as well.
Maci Atalla got her money's worth as she collected 12 saves from the 32 total shots she faced on the night.
Southern Nazarene will be back in action this Saturday to take on East Central (0-3, 0-2 GAC) at Wes Harmon Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
