Road Game Defeat

Rangers take the 3-0 victory in Storm’s last road game of the season

Alva, Okla. — The Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer team closed out their last road game with a loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State Thursday evening in Alva.

The Rangers (11-4-2, 6-3-2 GAC) took advantage of every opening that match as they managed to tally 35 total shots on the night, with 15 of those in range, while the Storm (1-16, 0-11 GAC) could not get anything started as they tallied only six shots and with three on goal.

Northwestern only put up one goal in the first half leaving SNU to trail 1-0 still with another 45 minutes of competition. It was in the second half where the Rangers started to pull away as they scored two back-to-back goals 15 minutes into the second leaving the score to read 3-0.

The Storm could not answer the NWOSU's 3-0 lead and they left Alva with the Rangers claiming the victory.

Hope Berry secured two shots for the Storm landing one of those on target while Nikki Lohr and Delaney Stewart each tallied one shot and one shot on goal that evening.

Abigail Moreno posted a great defensive effort within the goal with her 12 saves that match.

The Storm will host Southwestern Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 6th where they will celebrate their seniors in their final game of the season.
