BETHANY, Okla. — The Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer team faced a tough evening match against Oklahoma Baptist as they battled through grueling gusts of wind only to fall to the Bison 10-0 on their home field.
First place leaders in the Great American Conference standings, The Bison (10-4-1, 9-1 GAC) dominated right from kickoff and never looked back. OBU managed to take a total of 34 shots that evening with 23 of those on target. The Storm (1-14, 0-9 GAC) could not seem to capitalize on any opportunities as they only took three total shots that match.
SNU held the Bison to only three goals in the first half of the match. This changed once the second period rolled around as OBU punched in seven more goals the remaining 45 minutes of play leaving the final score at 10-0.
Nikki Lohr and Delaney Stewart were able to produce some positive play for the Storm with their one shots on goal a piece.
In goal, Eliya Alvidrez totaled 11 saves that evening while Abigail Moreno racked up two.
The Storm have a quick turnaround game Saturday, October 30th where they will host East Central at 2 p.m.
