BETHANY, Okla. — For teams on the lower end of the GAC standings, a win was much needed between the SNU-Harding matchup Saturday morning at Wes Harmon Field. The Lady Bisons (3-6, 1-2 GAC) channeled a surge of energy as they rolled into Bethany defeating the Storm (1-7, 0-2 GAC) 6-0 receiving their first GAC victory this season.
The Lady Bisons attacked right from kickoff with their first goal scored just four minutes into the first and they never looked back. Harding would punch another one in just before the half extending the lead to 2-0.
The Storm had a few good looks in the second but could not capitalize on offense leaving Harding to dominant the remainder of the game as they secured four more goals to give them the victory.
Karla Ramirez led the way with four shots and two of those on goal for the Storm. Kaitlyn Deaton also added to the Storm's efforts with four shots and one of those on target. In goal, Abigail Moreno tallied six saves on the morning.
The Storm will see their first conference road game next week as they match up with Oklahoma Baptist at 6 p.m. in Shawnee.
