Day One Results
EDMOND, Okla. – On an extremely windy day at Kickingbird Golf Club, Southern Nazarene opened the 2020 Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational with a first-round score of 330, which has them in 12
th place after day one.
The Crimson Storm won this event last season, but on Monday in tough conditions it just wasn't their day. Two of SNU's seniors led the way with solid rounds as
Bailey Blake fired an opening-round 76 while
Heidi Stafford carded a 78. Blake is tied for 11
th entering the final round while Stafford is tied for 26
th.
Emilie Jackson came in with an 87 while
Loren Ogburn carded an 89.
Carina Hernandez rounded out the Storm lineup with an opening-round 93.
Rogers State leads the way on the team leaderboard after the Hillcats fired an opening-round 299 which gives them a four-shot lead over Southwestern Oklahoma State. Three shots behind the Bulldogs is Oklahoma City University while Arkansas Tech is close behind in fourth. SNU is three shots behind Northwest Missouri State and five behind the top-10.
SWOSU's Zoe Morton leads the individual leaderboard after carding an impressive 1-over par 71 in the opening round in brutal conditions. She leads by one shot entering Tuesday's final round.
Southern Nazarene will conclude the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invite on Tuesday morning with the Crimson Storm teeing off hole number 10 beginning at 9:58 a.m.
