HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — After an opening two rounds of action at the Great American Conference Championships, Southern Nazarene is in fourth place after posting a total score of 629 at Hot Springs Country Club.

The Crimson Storm will enter Tuesday nine shots behind third-place Henderson State, but SNU has a couple of golfers inside the top-13 entering Tuesday's final round. Kaylee Petersen leads the way for the Storm after opening rounds of 73-79, which puts her tied for eighth. Bailey Blake is tied for 13th after carding a 76 in the first round and a 79 in the second round on Monday.

Blake led the entire GAC field with a 1-under scoring on the par-threes while Petersen recorded a team-high 24 pars in the first two rounds of the tournament.

Sarah Rovenstine also had a solid day as she carded a two-round score of 161 after rounds of 79-82 and she enters the final round tied for 23rd. Emilie Jackson is tied for 27th after tallying rounds of 85-77, while Heidi Stafford rounded out the SNU lineup with rounds of 84-82 to put her in a tie for 34th.

Southwestern Oklahoma State is the clubhouse leader after the first two rounds as they hold a four shot lead over second place Arkansas Tech. The Bulldogs and Golden Suns have started to run away from the rest of the field, but with a solid final round on Tuesday, SNU can get right back in the mix.

Southern Nazarene will tee off their final round of the season on Tuesday morning.
