WEATHERFORD, Okla - Southern Nazarene fell on the road to the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State University 4-0 on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs made their presence known early scoring three of their goals in the first 11 minutes of play. SNU was not able to slow the attack of the Bulldogs depsite holding a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Southwestern Oklahoma State broke the seal in just the 19th second of play with a score by Brenna McGuirk. Shortly after, Sandra Nabweteme found her way into the net with a shot in the 8th minute. Nabweteme would score her second goal of the afternoon just two minutes after. The last goal from the Bulldogs would come in the 67th minute of play by Nabweteme as well.
Statistically for the Storm,
Hope Berry and Delaney Stewart led the way with two shots apiece, both of those being on target.
Eden Holetzky and
Karsyn Matthews both added one shot of their own.
Ashlynn Pritchett was on her heels from the start of the match as she snagged 13 saves in the match.
Southern Nazarene will return to action on the road Saturday as they play in their final match of the year against Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
