BETHANY, Okla - The Southern Nazarene Men's Soccer team fell to the Hillcats of Rogers State on Monday night 2-0 at Wes Harmon Field in Bethany. The match was originally scheduled for Thursday, October 28th, but was moved due to inclement weather.
The Hillcats (10-4-1, 7-4-0 GAC) held the shot advantage in the match 12-11, but the Storm (2-12-1, 1-7-1 GAC) managed to shoot as many on target as Rogers State.
The chilly, windy cold night seemed to play a factor in the match that involved a total of 18 fouls and four yellow cards. SNU and RSU battled head to head from the start as the match was tied up going into halftime, but this wouldn't last long.
Rogers State busted out of the gates with a score from Jaxon Pitts, assisted by Jordan Watson, in the 48th minute of play. The match continued to be back and forth without either side gaining an advantage until the 78th minute when Cairo Allen lofted a goal in the bottom right of the net, assisted by
Pedro Garcia.
