WICHITA, Kan. - The Southern Nazarene men's soccer team struggled throughout the night as they fell to the Newman Jets on the road, 2-0, on Thursday at Stryker Sports Complex. Due to inclement weather, the game was moved from Wilkins Field to the Stryker Sports Complex.
The Crimson Storm (2-8, 1-4 GAC) were outshot 18-12, including 10-3 on goal while the Jets (4-4, 3-3 GAC) held an 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
It was a scoreless match until early in the second half when Carlos Bellosta Manchon broke the seal with a shot in the 46th minute of the match. Shortly after, the Jets slipped in another score with a shot by Ed Jabarri in the 49th minute.
SNU was able to slow NU afterwards, allowing no more goals but failed to find their way in.

Angel Lopez led the way with three shots a piece, two of Da Silva's being on target. Sophomore
Nicolas Salkind and
Jhon Mareus each provided the Storm with two shots of their own. In goal,
Bence Mocsari snagged seven shots.
After dropping this match, the Storm look to regroup on Saturday against No. 21 ranked Fort Hays State (6-3-1, 5-0-1 GAC), beginning at 4:00 p.m.
