BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene totaled just five shots in a 2-1 loss to Texas Woman's at Wes Harmon Field on Thursday night.

The Crimson Storm (1-2) never seemed to get their offense going, as they tallied just three shots on goal for the game. The Pioneers (2-1) were aggressive right out of the gate, firing 13 shots in the first half, and nine in the second. They saw eight shots land on goal for the contest.

Although TWU racked up double-digit shots in the first half, the SNU defense was able to hold strong. They recorded a couple of team saves in the first 45 minutes to send the game into halftime tied 0-0.

The Pioneers eventually got one past goalkeeper
Ashlynn Pritchett in the 57
th minute, and another in the 69
th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Junior
Rebekah Abrego made things interesting in the 80
th minute as she scored her first goal of the season on a header from
Alejandra Andrade to cut the lead to 2-1.

Southern Nazarene was able to get a couple of good looks in the final few minutes from
Kelsi Bussert and
Natalie James, but they weren't able to tie the game as Texas Woman's held the lead.

Pritchett finished the game with four saves in goal for SNU, while James had two shots on goal.
