SHAWNEE, Okla. —In the first matchup of the season with its rival Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene fell 5-0 on the road at Bison Hill.

The Bison (5-4, 3-0 GAC) fired a season-high 46 shots on their home field, as they landed 18 of those on target. The Crimson Storm (1-8. 0-3 GAC) took nine shots in the match and placed five of those on goal.

Ruth King scored the first three goals of the game for OBU as she netted two in the 10
th minute, and the other in the 15
th. After taking a 3-0 lead into halftime, the Bison added another goal two minutes out of the break to make it 4-0, before pushing that lead to five goals with another score in the 61
st minute.

Jaycie Routon and
DeLaney Stewart each had two shots on goal for the Crimson Storm while
Kelsi Bussert finished with one.
Ashlynn Pritchett got the start in goal for SNU and tallied five saves in the first half, while
Micaela Owen played the second half and recorded eight saves.

After the quick one-game road trip, Southern Nazarene returns to Wes Harmon Field with another GAC match against East Central on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set after the men's game at 3:30 p.m.
