PORTALES, N.M. — Southern Nazarene fell 4-0 in a road contest with Eastern New Mexico University on Saturday afternoon.
The Crimson Storm (1-5) managed just six shots, compared to 27 shots by the Greyhounds (2-2-1).
After a scoreless first half, ENMU came out aggressive in the second. The Greyhounds controlled possession throughout the second half, outshooting the Storm 15 shots to two. The Greyhounds eventually found the back of the net in the 62
nd minute to take the 1-0 lead. They added three more goals in the half to cruise the rest of the match.
Kelsi Bussert was the only player for the Storm to get a shot on goal, with two of her three shots being on target.Â
Ashlynn Pritchett recorded nine saves in the match.
Micaela Owen came into relieve Pritchett in the 81
st minute and recorded a save of her own.
SNU returns home on Thursday for their conference opener against Ouachita Baptist at Wes Harmon Field.
