BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene managed to get some great looks on offense but couldn't get anything to find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday night at Wes Harmon Field.

To open Great American Conference play, the Crimson Storm (1-6, 0-1 GAC) landed seven shots on goal compared to nine for the Tigers (3-3, 1-0 GAC). Both teams tallied seven saves and six corners as the match was close all the way through.

Ouachita took a 1-0 lead in the 32
nd minute when Tori Stratton netted her first goal of the season. After the Tigers took that 1-0 lead into halftime, SNU came out and had a couple of good looks early.
Rebekah Abrego crossed a beautiful ball into the box that found a wide-open
Kelsi Bussert who wasn't able to tie the game for the Storm.

The Tigers held their 1-0 lead deep into the half and increased it in the 80
th minute from a goal by Kylie Sharp. Ouachita was then able to cruise the final 10 minutes of the game.

DeLaney Stewart and
Maria Garcia each fired one shot on target off the Storm bench.
Ashlynn Pritchett tallied five saves in the first half and
Micaela Owen recorded two as she played the second half in goal for SNU.
