SEARCY, Ark. — After picking up its first Great American Conference win of the season last Saturday afternoon, Southern Nazarene fell 3-1 on the road to Harding on Thursday night.
 
The Bisons (5-6, 5-2 GAC) fired a season-high 35 shots in the match, as they landed 15 of those on goal while the Crimson Storm (2-11, 1-6 GAC) tallied five shots and put one of those on target.
 
Senior 
Kelsi Bussert scored her sixth goal of the season on Thursday night as she tallied two shots in the match. 
Kylee Payne, 
Natalie James, and 
DeLaney Stewart each had a shot for SNU as well, while 
Karsyn Matthews finished with an assist.
 
Goalkeepers 
Ashlynn Pritchett and 
Micaela Owen finished with six saves each as the pair also split time in goal with each tallying 45 minutes.
 
Harding's Parker Smitherman got the Bisons on the board first in the 23
rd minute, as they took a 1-0 lead over the Storm into halftime. HU added another goal in the 58
th minute to push the lead to 2-0 before Matthews connected with Bussert to net a goal in the 77
th minute. The Storm tried to put pressure on Harding down the stretch, but the Bisons scored one more time to put the game out of reach for SNU.
 
Southern Nazarene will travel to Arkadelphia on Saturday for another GAC match with Ouachita Baptist. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. in that match.
