BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene picked up in 2018 right where it left off in 2017 by extending it's winning streak to five straight with an 89-67 win over Harding Thursday night.
Â
The Crimson Storm (9-1, 6-0 GAC) are off to their best start under

Â
Nearly all 12 players that played scored as 11 got into the books. For the second time this year, SNU shot at least 60 percent from the field. The Storm went 36-for-60 from the floor and hit seven 3-pointers on the night. SNU also went 10-for-12 from the line.
Â
The Storm bench nearly doubled up the Bisons' (0-10, 0-5 GAC) as SNU had 32 points from its reserves compared to 18 from Harding. Southern Nazarene also outscored Harding 38-24 in the point. SNU had 35 rebounds while the Bisons had just 22.
Â
SNU didn't trail the entire game, but didn't start to put distance with Harding until midway through the first half. That's when
Coleman Edwards hit a 3-pointer to start a 23-9 run as the Storm took its biggest lead of the half at 42-27 with 1:01 left. SNU took a 42-30 lead at the break and Harding got it down to a 10-point deficit twice in the second half, but that was as close as the Bisons came the rest of the way.
