MONTICELLO, Ark. — Southern Nazarene led by as much as 15 in the second half, but couldn't hold off Arkansas-Monticello in a 62-55 loss Thursday night.

The loss drops the Crimson Storm (7-9, 5-7 GAC) to 2-7 on the road this year with only one of those coming in conference play.

SNU led 34-19 with 6:46 left in the third, but watched the Blossoms (7-10, 3-9 GAC) end the quarter with a 20-6 run and cut the deficit to 40-39. UAM tied it at 42 early in the fourth, but the Storm went on a 7-1 run, capped by an
Adrienne Berry trey, to lead 49-43 lead with 5:32 left to play. The Blossoms though ended the game on a 19-6 run to pick up the win.

Berry led the way for SNU as she had 10 points and five rebounds. Ten of the 11 that played for the Storm scored as the Storm shot 22-for-52 from the field. SNU was also 4-for-16 from 3-point range and 7-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Kandyce Freeman had nine points and eight rebounds off of the bench while
Sidney Carolina had eight points and six assists.
Alexus Jones also had six points and six assists.

SNU gave up 21 points off 22 turnovers and UAM had 15 second-chance points off 11 offensive rebounds. The Blossoms turned the ball over just nine times while shooting 23-for-61 from the field and 4-for-11 from 3-point range.
