BETHANY, Okla. — Bailee Turang had 11 kills and six digs for Southern Nazarene in a 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-14) home-opening loss to No. 18 Central Oklahoma Tuesday night.

The Crimson Storm (2-3) lost their first home-opening match since 2009, but haven't played a ranked opponent to open the home season since joining NCAA Division II.

SNU was held to a .048 (30-24-125) clip as it had 35 errors total on the night. The Bronchos (4-1) hit at a .271 (42-13-107) clip and had nine blocks. They also had 62 digs.

Kylie Smith had 25 assists and was one dig short of a double-double with nine. She also had one of the Storm's two aces.
Hannah Davis had 12 digs while
Elyse Berlin had 10. SNU as a team had two blocks and 47 digs.

The Storm led briefly in the first set at 3-2, but a 7-2 run put UCO up 9-5 and it cruised from there to a 1-0 lead. SNU quickly got out to a 4-1 lead to start the second set, but the Bronchos answered again with a 10-4 run to lead 11-8. SNU closed it to 11-9 before UCO pushed it 21-12 with a 10-3 run. The Storm cut it to 23-19 on a Central Oklahoma error that forced a timeout, but UCO scored the final two points to lead 2-0.

The Bronchos never trailed in the third set, but SNU made it interesting early in the set. UCO led 7-3 when a Turang kill sparked a 7-3 run to tie it at 10. SNU tied it at 11, but UCO used a 14-3 run to end the match.
