LINDSBORG, Kan. — Southern Nazarene totaled six shots on goal, but it wasn't enough as it fell 2-0 to Bethany College Saturday afternoon.
In a feisty match that saw a combined nine yellow cards, the Swedes (1-3-1) totaled 18 shots for the game. The Crimson Storm (0-5-1) totaled 13 shots for the game, and six of those were on goal. Bethany struck first in the 39
th minute as Melvin Akingboye notched his first goal of the season to give the Swedes a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Lucas Muckley added another goal for Bethany in the 61
st minute, and the Swedes cruised from there.
Jacob Blough came off the bench and had three shots on goal for the Crimson Storm.
