Storm Fall In Denton

Texas Woman's defeats Southern Nazarene 4-0

DENTON, Texas — In its final non-conference road game of the season, Southern Nazarene fell 4-0 to Texas Woman's Thursday night.

The Pioneers (3-1-1) came into the game having received votes in the latest update of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll. They showed everyone in attendance why they received these votes, as TWU fired 25 shots for the game. The Crimson Storm (2-3) totaled just six shots for the game, four of those being on goal.

Chelsea Martin scored two goals for the Pioneers in the first half, and Haley Ward added another to give TWU a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. They added a goal late in the second to put the game out of reach for Southern Nazarene.

Rebekah Abrego and Meagan Chase each had a shot on goal for the Crimson Storm, and Ashlynn Pritchett recorded nine saves for SNU as well.
