WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Southwestern Oklahoma State scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth and that was enough for SWOSU in a 5-1 win over Southern Nazarene in the final game of the three-game series.
Â
Cobi Ceron went 2-for-4 and
Dillon Feland went 2-for-5 as those two combined for four of the Crimson Storm's 10 hits. It is the fourth time in seven straight games that SNU has outhit its opponent.
Â
Anthony Wiggins (1-5) took the loss after he gave up five runs, three earned, on seven hits in the start. He also struck out six in 5.2 innings of work.
Mike Descisciolo allowed just one hit and fanned two in 2.1 innings of relief.
Â
SNU took the first lead of the game on a single to center by
Tyler Stevens that drove home
Garrett Perez, but that was the only time a Crimson Storm player crossed the plate. The Bulldogs answered with four in the bottom of the fourth and added another insurance run in the sixth to put the game away.
