BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped both games of a Sunday doubleheader as it lost 16-6 in the first game and 8-0 in the second.

In the opener,
Cobi Ceron went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored while
Dalen Edgar went 2-for-5 with two runs scored.

Southern Arkansas broke the scoreless tie in the top of the third with four runs, but the Crimson Storm answered with four in the bottom half of the inning to tie it. The first came on a bunt single to third by
Cobi Ceron before
Mike Descisciolo singled through the left side to make it 4-2.
Garrett Perez drove home the final two runs of the inning with a single to center.

The Storm added two in the bottom of the fifth on two wild pitches as
Dalen Edgar and
Tyler Stevens each scored to make it 6-4. The Muleriders tied it at in the top of the sixth on a two-run blast and
Easton Rodgers saved it from being 7-6 when he made a home run-saving grab at the wall in right field.

SAU retook the lead in the top of the sixth with two to lead 8-6 and added three more in the seventh to lead 11-6. The Muleriders put it away in the top of the eighth with five to lead 16-6.

Austin Cooper (0-5) took the loss after giving up eight runs on eight hits in 5.2 innings of work.

In the nightcap, all four hits came from different players and SNU left six on base.

The Muleriders struck first with a run in the top of the second and added another in the top of the third to take a 2-0 lead. Southern Arkansas made it 5-0 in fourth with three runs. SAU scored two more in the top of the sixth and one in the seventh to lead 8-0.

David Gustafson (0-4) took the loss after giving up five runs, four earned, on eight hits in five innings of work in the start.
