ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — In the first weekend of Great American Conference play, Southern Nazarene fell 2-1 and 13-1 to Ouachita in a Friday doubleheader.
Katelyn Brown (1-3) gave up just two runs on four hits and struck out four in the opener. The Tigers struck first in the bottom of the fourth with a one-out RBI triple to right. SNU knotted the game up at 1-1 in the fifth when
Hannah LeBeau hit a two-out single to center. Ouachita's second run hurt the most, as a walk-off double scored the second run to give the Tigers a 2-1 victory.

Amy Reynolds went 2-for-4,
Kai Sanchez went 2-for-3 and LeBeau went 2-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

In the nightcap, the Tigers opened the first with a run, scoring on an RBI single. The Storm answered in the second with one run after
Riley Brown hit an RBI double to score
Mahina Sauer. Ouachita then added three runs in the second and nine more in the fourth to lead 13-1. Ouachita retired the Storm in order in the fifth for the doubleheader sweep. SNU falls to 2-8 overall and 0-2 in the GAC.Â

 (1-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs and nine hits in 2.1 innings of work. Reynolds went 2-for-3 and
Riley Brown went 1-for-2 with an RBI double.
