BETHANY, Okla. — Garrett Perez tied the school's single-game record with three stolen bases and went 3-for-4 for Southern Nazarene in an 8-1 loss to Ouachita at home Friday afternoon.
Perez had three of the Crimson Storm's (1-11, 1-3 GAC) seven hits as
Mike Descisciolo also went 3-for-4.
Ouachita took advantage first in the top of the second with a pair of runs before adding another in the top of the fourth to lead 4-0. The Tigers took a 6-0 lead in the top of the fifth before SNU got on the board in the bottom half of the inning when
Garrett Perez stole home to make it 6-1. That was only run the Storm pushed across the plate as the Tigers added an insurance run in the seventh and the ninth.
Austin Cooper (0-2) took the loss after giving up six runs, three earned, on seven hits. He also struck out three in 4.1 innings of work.
