BETHANY, Okla. — In the last home game of the season, Southern Nazarene fired nine shots on goal on their way to a 2-1 win over Upper Iowa.

The Crimson Storm (2-13-1) outshot the Peacocks (5-8) 14-13 for the game, as Upper Iowa finished with just five shots on goal. The Storm have now won back-to-back games for the first time since 2015. On Senior Day at Wes Harmon Field, SNU scored its quickest goal out of the gate this year.
Cutter Smith notched his first of the season in the third minute of the game on a beautiful cross from
Alan Armstrong. Smith finished the game with three shots on goal.

The Storm took a 1-0 lead into halftime, and their defense took command in the second half. Upper Iowa managed just three shots in the second half.
Pedro Garcia extended the Storm lead in the 63
rd minute, as he scored his fourth goal of the season. Upper Iowa's Ruairidh Crawford made things interesting in the 72
nd minute, as he scored to bring the score to 2-1.

SNU's defense flexed its muscles in the final 18 minutes, as the Peacocks didn't fire another shot on goal for the rest of the game.

Cristian Hernandez tallied two shots on goal.
