BETHANY, Okla. — They say good things come to those who wait, and good things evenutally came Southern Nazarene's way Thursday night in a 2-1 victory over Southwest Baptist.

The Crimson Storm (1-13-1) fired 18 shots for the match, which ended up being the most in a game since September 2nd. They outshot the Bearcats (1-11) by six, however SBU tallied three more shots on goal for the game.

Senior
Freddy DiNang wasted no time at all getting things going, as he scored on a beautiful pass from
Cristian Hernandez in the sixth minute. Southwest Baptist's Emmanuel Poblano evened the score a little later with a goal in the 23
rd minute. Both defenses were stifling in the first half, as only 10 combined shots were taken in the first half.

The Storm doubled their shot attempts in the second half, as both sides looked for the game-winning goal. Senior
Alan Armstrong found it in the 86
th minute to give SNU a 2-1 lead. Southwest Baptist fired a couple of shots at the end to try and tie it, but the Storm defense prevailed.

Dakota Ellicott recorded six saves on the night for SNU, while
Shane Kiddie and
Max Rodas each had a shot on goal for the Storm.
