BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene's
Meagan Chase scored her first collegiate goal of her career, but that was the lone goal of the night for SNU in a 3-1 loss to Central Oklahoma in the season opener.

Chase's goal sparked life into the Crimson Storm (0-1-0) after they found themselves in a 2-0 hole in the second half. The Bronchos (1-0-0) struck first in the 34
th minute on a Darla Hyde goal that kicked off the head of Morgan Cherry from a Kenzie Sublett corner kick.

UCO took a 1-0 lead into the half before Katie Killion maneuvered around
Natasha Fuentes on the right side to put Central Oklahoma up 2-0 in the 69
th minute.

Chase scored her goal from a
Shelby Martinez cross and put it in from eight yards out to make it 2-1, but the Bronchos got the bookend goal from Hyde on a rebound to seal the game.

SNU had eight of its 14 shots put on frame while UCO had 14 of its 19 on goal. Fuentes recorded 10 saves on the night while UCO's Ally Salls had six.
