CANYON, Texas. — Meagan Chase scored her third goal of the season in the first half, but it wasn't enough as Southern Nazarene fell 5-1 at West Texas A&M Saturday.

The Lady Buffs (2-2-0) got on the board early scoring in the third minute off of a penalty kick from Malene van Mourik. WTAM kept applying pressure in the first half as they scored two more goals in the 16
th minute. One goal came from another van Mourik penalty kick and the other from a Katelyn Taschler goal from 20 yards out, to give the Lady Buffs a commanding 3-0 lead.Â

The Storm (1-5-0) got on the board in the 24
th minute when Chase took a through ball from
Hannah Robinson and blasted it past the keep to the back of the net to put the score at 3-1 in favor of Lady Buffs.

SNU managed to attempt four shots in the first half, two of them being on goal. WTAM out shot the Storm in the first half as they got 18 shots off, ten being on goal.

The Lady Buffs tacked on two more goals in the second half, both coming from Ronni Ajeto, giving WTAM a 5-1 lead and the win.

The Storm got ten shots on the night, six on goal. West Texas A&M took 26 shots, 14 shots on goal.

SNU's Natsha Fuentes recorded a season-high eight saves and WTAM's Courtney Dippel recorded four saves.Â
