SNU wins 2-0 at Oklahoma Christian

OKLAHOMA CITY — Southern Nazarene shut out the Eagles in a 2-0 win Tuesday, securing the first victory for the Crimson Storm this season.

Both the Storm (1-3-0) and the Eagles (1-3-0) played a solid first half of soccer. Both teams were able to fire off plenty of shots, however none of them found the back of the net. The Storm took 13 shots, six of them being on goal in the first half, while OC took seven shots, two of them being on goal.

The second half favored SNU in the 64th minute when Hannah Robinson scored her first goal of the year. The goal came off of a corner kick from Alyssa Glitzke. Glitzke placed the ball in the middle of the box, and from six yards out, Robinson delivered a kick that found the back of the net, giving the Storm a 1-0 lead.

The Storm added another goal from Meagan Chase, her second goal of the season, in the 86th minute to put the game out of reach. The goal came off an assist from Kylee Payne who crossed the ball to Chase. The freshman then scored the goal from six yards out to secure a 2-0 victory for SNU.
