BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season with an 80-73 victory over Arkansas Tech Saturday.

The Crimson Storm (4-4, 3-1 GAC) completed the weekend sweep before the Christmas break and had three different players in double figures.
Jhonathan Dunn scored a 20 points had a career-high eight rebounds. The freshman went 7-for-13 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Deshon Portley added 18 points and three rebounds while
LB Willis had 15 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.

SNU shot 42.9 percent from the field and went 10-for-25 from 3-point range. The Storm held the Wonder Boys (3-2, 2-2 GAC) to just 38.9 percent from the field and forced 19 turnovers. Southern Nazarene in turn scored 25 points off of turnovers. SNU also had 34 of its points in the paint. SNU also went 10-for-13 from the line.

Southern Nazarene jumped out to a 14-8 lead to start, but the Wonder Boys answered with a 14-2 run to take a 22-16 lead with 9:13 left in the first half. SNU trailed 25-21 with 6:57 remaining in the first, but the Storm went on a 17-8 run to close the half, including six straight.

SNU pushed it to 42-33 to start the second half, but the Wonder Boys answered with a 12-5 run to cut it to 47-45.
LB Willis sparked a 12-4 of their own to give SNU its biggest lead of the game at 59-49 with 11:44 to play. Tech though answered with a 17-9 run to close it to 68-66 with 5:43 to play. SNU stretched it to 72-66, but the Wonder Boys scored five straight to cut it to 72-71 with 3:35 left. That was as close at ATU came though as Portley scored five straight on a pair of free throws and a clutch trey and SNU kept Tech at bay from there.
