BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene had 157 yards in the final home game of the year in a 40-7 loss to Henderson State.
The Reddies' (8-2, 8-2 GAC) Andrew Black completed 22 of his 24 pass attempts as he threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Henderson State had 543 yards of total offense with 198 on the ground and 345 through the air.
The Crimson Storm (1-9, 1-9 GAC) had just 11 yards of offense into the fourth quarter until
Jacob Spady hit
Trevor Smith for a 53-yard touchdown strike with 10:31 left to play. That ended a 4-play, 71-yard drive. That was the only time the Storm put points on the scoreboard though as Henderson scored 28 unanswered in the first half and pushed it to 40-7 through three quarter before the Smith touchdown.
SNU finished with 137 passing yards and 20 rushing. Spady finished with 137 yards passing as he was 10-for-22.
Devan Brady had 54 yards receiving on two catches.
Daniel Ramos III was the leading rusher for SNU as he had 22 yards on eight carries.
Noah Wells had 13 tackles on the day, seven of which were for a loss while
Myles Roll and Anthony Stephens each had nine.
Derrick Carmouche also had an interception.
