McKayla Benner tying a career-high for kills with 21, Southern Nazarene just couldn't get passed a tough Henderson State team falling 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 26-24).

The Crimson Storm (8-8, 4-3 GAC) drop their third straight match after sweeping three straight.

Benner finished with a .395 (21-4-43) hitting percentage and four blocks.
Lexie Matthews and
McKenna Qualls each had 10 kills.
Elyse Berlin finished with 45 assists and 10 digs while
Abbey Bell had 25 digs. Kaitlynn Vought also had three blocks.

The Storm hit .147 (50-28-150) and got out dug 64-59 and out blocked 10-7. Â

In the first set, SNU led 20-17, but Henderson State used an 8-3 run to take a 1-0 lead in the match. There were 12 ties in the second set before the Storm broke a 22-22 tie with a Matthews kill as part of three straight points to end the set. Benner got the final kill as SNU tied it up at 1-1.

There were 13 total ties in the third set, but Henderson broke the 12
th tie at 14 with two straight points to lead 16-14. The Reddies held that lead and had set point at 24-21 before the Storm scored three straight to knot it at 24. HSU though got the next two to take a 2-1 lead.

Southern Nazarene jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the fourth set, but the Reddies answered with an 15-6 run to take an 18-14 lead. The Storm answered with an 8-3 run started by a Benner kill as SNU took a 22-21 lead. The Reddies though, closed the match on a 4-1 run and put SNU away.
