BETHANY, Okla. — Six different players scored in double figures Thursday night as Southern Nazarene as a team nearly reached triple digits in a 99-79 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State.

Four starters and two reserves all notched double figures for the Crimson Storm (5-8, 4-3 GAC) as SNU moved to 4-1 inside the Sawyer Center this year.

CJ Rodriguez scored his third straight 20-point game as the senior had 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-for-6 from 3-point range. He was also 6-for-7 at the free-throw line and added five assists to his night.
LB Willis added 16 points and three steals as he was 7-for-12 from the field and 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

Quaylon Newton scored a career-high 12 points off of the bench and added a career-high eight rebounds as well.
C.J. White also scored 12 points and chipped in with six rebounds.
Deshon Portley and
Francisco Hukill each scored 11 points as well.

SNU stayed above 50 percent from the field all night as it finished 39-for-58 and went 11-for-21 from 3-point range. The Storm hit seven treys in the second half. Southern Nazarene dominated the paint scoring 48 points down low with 19 coming off fast breaks. The Rangers (2-9, 2-5 GAC) scored 34 in the paint. SNU also had 17 points off of 16 offensive rebounds as it outrebounded Northwestern 40-23.

The Rangers led for the first 2:39 of the game and were up 8-6, when a Hukill trey sparked 22-7 run and the Storm were off and running. SNU led by 13 twice and were up 35-22 with 6:02 left in the first, but the Rangers went on a 20-10 run to close it to 45-42 with 28 seconds left in the half. The Storm though scored five straight to close the half with a 50-42 lead.

Southern Nazarene led 56-50 with 17:51 to play when it went on an 18-6 run capped by a Rodriguez three to lead 74-56 early in the second half and cruised from there.Â
