Storm Beat Down Bison

SNU tops GAC rival Oklahoma Baptist in 4-2 victory

BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene continued its recent string of quality play with a 4-2 win over Great American Conference rival Oklahoma Baptist.

The Crimson Storm (2-6-0) struck quickly, getting out to an early 1-0 lead off a goal by Tommy Fiszel. The goal was Fiszel's fifth of the season, which leads the Crimson Storm offense.

However, the big performance of the night on offense came from Jared Rangel. Rangel scored the first two goals of his SNU career, with both coming off assists from Fiszel. After a goal from the Bison in the 51st minute, Ismael Fernandez iced the game in the 76th minute with his first career goal off a cross from Alan Armstrong.

Colton Hadlock (2-1-0) picked up his second consecutive win in goal for the Crimson Storm, while setting a new career high with 13 saves on the night.
