ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — LB Willis tied a season-high with 23 points for Southern Nazarene in an 83-68 loss at Henderson State.
 
The sophomore went 9-for-20 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. He added four rebounds, six assists and six steals for the Crimson Storm (12-10, 8-8 GAC). The loss broke a four-game winning streak for SNU.
 
The Storm had eight players get in the books as Francisco Hukill added 13 points and six rebounds as he went 5-for-11 form the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point range. CJ Rodriguez also had eight points and four rebounds for the Storm.
 
SNU hit 40.7 percent from the field going 24-for-59 and were 7-for-19 from 3-point range. It was also 13-for-18 from the line. Henderson State hit 50 percent from the field going 26-for-52 and were 9-for-18 from beyond the arc. HSU also was 22-for-27 at the line.
 
The Reddies and Storm exchanged three leads and four ties early before Henderson State used an 11-0 run to lead 33-22 with 4:43 left in the first half. HSU took a 39-29 lead into halftime and pushed it to 55-39 with 15:21 left in the second. The Reddies led 58-42 with 14 minutes to play when Willis sparked a 26-14 run capped by a Hukill trey to make it 72-68 with 2:51 left.
 
That was as close as the Storm came as Henderson State closed the game on an 11-0 run to close the game
