EDMOND, Okla. — For the third time this year,
LB Willis notched a 20-plus point game as the junior matched his season high with 24 in a 79-74 win over Central Oklahoma Saturday night at the UCO Thanksgiving Classic.

Willis went 9-for-18 from the field, 2-for-4 from 3-point range and 4-for-4 at the line for the Crimson Storm (3-3). He also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals. The second straight night,
Francisco Hukill notched a double-double as he had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hukill went 5-for-10 from the field and 6-for-6 at the line. He also had four assists.
CJ Rodriguez followed up his career-high Friday night with 19 points, four assists and three rebounds. Rodriguez went 5-for-10 from 3-point range.
C.J. White also had eight points and 11 rebounds.

The Crimson Storm shot 48.2 percent from the field and went 10-for-23 from 3-point range.

The Bronchos (4-2) had 38 points in the paint, 18 points off of 14 SNU turnovers and outscored the Storm 49-6 off of the bench. However, UCO shot just 37.1 percent from the field and were just 4-for-21 from 3-point range.

Neither team led by more than four in the first half until an
Anton Kankaanpaa 3-pointerr sparked a 13-4 run by SNU to lead 35-30 with 1:38 to play. SNU took a 35-33 lead into the half and opened the second half with a 7-3 run to take their biggest lead at 42-34 with 17:40 left to play. The Storm led 44-36 when the Bronchos cut it to 44-43 with 13:46 left to play, but that was as close as UCO came. The Storm saw their lead get cut to 68-66 with 1:45 to play, but hit seven free throws in the final two minutes to clinch it.Â
