HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The hunt for a GAC Championship came to a sudden halt for Southern Nazarene in the semifinals as Southwestern Oklahoma State ended SNU's season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-17) win.

The Crimson Storm (16-17) struggled to gain momentum as it hit .139 and had 17 errors and seven service errors.

McKenna Qualls led the way for SNU with 10 kills while
Kaitlyn Vought and
Lexie Matthews had seven kills each. Qualls also had seven digs to go with a block and an ace. Vought also had 11 digs and a block while Matthews had 10 digs.
Elyse Berlin had 29 assists and eight digs while
Abbey Bell had 20 digs.

The Bulldogs (21-11) hit .218 on the night and doubled SNU in block with six.

The Crimson Storm led by as much as five in the first set and were up 13-8 when SWOSU scored five straight to it at 13. The Bulldogs then broke a 16-16 tie with a 6-1 run to lead 22-17 and held the Storm at bay from there to take the first set. SNU led just once in the second set and that was at 1-0. Southwestern scored the next two points and didn't give up the lead from then on to lead 2-0.

It was all Bulldogs in the third as SWOSU stormed out to a 7-1 lead. SNU closed it to 14-12, but that was as close as the Storm came the rest of the way.Â
