WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Five players for Southern Nazarene scored in double figures in an 86-79 loss to Lindenwood (Mo.) in the SWOSU Classic Saturday.

Francisco Hukill and
Garrett Butler each had 18 points for the Crimson Storm (0-2) as they shot 46 percent from the field (29-63) and went 16-for-35 from 3-point range. SNU went just 5-for-10 from the line. Both Hukill and Butler each went 6-for-14 from the field as Hukill went 6-for-14 from 3-point range and Butler went 5-for-11 from downtown. Butler also had six rebounds to tie the team high.
LB Willis and
CJ Rodriguez each scored 13points as Willis had seven assists and Rodriguez had three.
C.J. White also added 10 points and six rebounds off of the bench.

The Storm's bench outscored Lindenwood's 28-10, but the Lions (2-0) outscored SNU in the paint 32-22.

Neither team held a lead bigger than seven in the first half as SNU held a 39-36 lead at the break. The Lions cut it to 42-41 early in the second half before Hukill sparked a 23-6 run to put SNU up 65-47 with 11:36 left to play. The Storm led 71-53 with 9:40 left to play, but the Lions answered with a 21-5 run over the next nine minutes to lead 84-76 with 25 seconds left to play. Lindenwood held on from there to put SNU away.
