ALVA, Okla. — Southern Nazarene secured the final spot in the Great American Conference Tournament despite a 1-0 loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State. SNU earned the bid thanks to a 4-1 home loss for East Central at the hands of Harding.

The Crimson Storm (8-10-0, 5-7-0 GAC) outshot the Rangers 25-5 throughout the game, including a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal, but were unable to ever find the back of the net. NWOSU split time with its two goalies, with Briana Legaspi playing the first half and Kylee Wallace in goal for the second half.

SNU had numerous chances to score in the final minutes, landing four shots on goal in the final five minutes of the game.
Grace Self led the Crimson Storm with six shots on the day and tied
Kasey Throgmorton and
Kelsi Bussert with two shots on goal.

Natasha Fuentes recorded two saves in 90 minutes in goal, while Legaspi tallied two saves and Wallace recorded seven.
