BETHANY, Okla. — Since Southern Nazarene joined the Great American Conference, there's been only one team SNU has not defeated, but that changed Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-23) sweep of Harding.

The Crimson Storm (12-13, 8-3GAC) took down the Bisons (11-13, 6-5 GAC) for the first time in school history and stayed in good position in the top three in the conference.
Kaitlyn Vought had six blocks on the day to go with 10 digs and seven kills.
McKenna Qualls had 11 kills, two blocks and a pair of aces while
Courtney Bowie had nine kills and four digs. Bowie also hit .412.
McKayla Benner also hit .412 with eight kills and three blocks.
Elyse Berlin had 31 assists and eight digs to go with two blocks and
Abbey Bell had 16 digs.

The Storm had eight blocks and hit .207 while notching 51 digs. SNU hit .367 in the opening set and jumped out to a 16-9 lead before holding on to take a 1-0 lead. There were 14 ties and five lead changes in the second set. The Storm trailed 21-17, but went on a 5-1 run to tie it at 22. Bowie broke a 24-24 tie with a kill and then put the set away with another kill to put SNU up 2-0. In the third, SNU led 15-10 midway through the set, but the Bisons continued to chip away until they tied it at 20. A Harding error gave the storm set point and Benner sealed it.Â
